That's how much lost color is restored on cotton, viscose, and modal:
Cotton clothes can turn grey and fuzzy after just a few washes. TexCare® tackles the root of the problem by restoring damaged fibers.
Washing and use quickly cause colored cotton, linen, or viscose to lose the clarity of the colors, become fluffy, and look old. The illustrations show why. As the garment is used, the garment's fibers will begin to break and form split ends in the same way as our hair. These protruding microfibrils filter together and form small fluff that easily catches the small dirt particles. The result is that the clothes begin to look faded and worn, even though they are quite new. TexCare® contains very specific enzymes that remove the microfibrils and fluff that protrude on the surface. With the removal of the microfibrils, the fluffy appearance disappears, and the colors become clear and look new again.
The graph below shows the result of a test wash in both regular detergent (this also applies to washing in so-called “Black” detergents)
Old, pre-washed cotton clothes will have their colors restored after a few washes. The test shows an improvement from 2.4 to 0.6 over 20 washes. Further washes with TexCare® restore the cotton colors to near their original appearance. In the end, the cotton clothes are – almost – as good as new in color and softness. Softening effect. A fluffy surface makes the clothes feel hard and rough. Washing with TexCare® makes cotton clothes soft. Ordinary softeners only have a temporary softening effect, as they coat the fibers, which disappears again, but TexCare gives a lasting softness. TexCare® is not just laundry – it's clothing care! Clothes washed in TexCare® will look and feel better than after washing in ordinary detergents. The classic washing technology creates fluff, which causes the colors to fade and the clothes to become hard and rough. TexCare® removes fluff problems, making the clothes clean and soft, while preserving the colors.
