TexCare® Silkwash is a gentle specialized, enzyme-free detergent for washing natural silk, raw silk, and Thai silk.
The proteins, combined with the product’s full formula, give silk a luxurious fullness and softness. Preserves the colors of both sand-washed silk and silk in bold colors.
INSTRUCTIONS:
For hand washing: Use 2 teaspoons for 5 liters of water. Avoid soaking, but gently squeeze the soapy water through the fabric a few times. Then rinse 1-2 times in clean water.
Dosage: For machine washing: Use 2 tablespoons. Set the machine to 40°C, preferably on the gentle cycle.
Don't overload the machine. After washing, roll the garment in a towel. Iron at 150°C while still damp. Iron inside out to avoid iron marks on the right side. Avoid fabric softener. Avoid drying in sunlight.
For stubborn stains: Wet the entire silk blouse. This will help prevent water stains. Apply a small amount ofTexCare® Silkwash to the stain without rubbing, and let it sit for no more than 30 minutes.
Then wash the entire blouse or jacket to rinse out the stain remover. Always test the garment’s colorfastness with the stain remover in a less visible spot
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The surfactants are plant-based and have been tested for complete biodegradability using the OECD 302 B screening test. The test results show that the ingredients fall into the highest category: “Readily biodegradable.” The low dosage minimizes the impact on the environment. The aluminum packaging can be recycled indefinitely and causes no harm to the natural or marine environment.
